Who we are
We are a two-partner firm working on the financial decisions companies face: what a business is worth, how much capital it needs, how that capital is structured, and what a transaction would mean. We do not provide personal financial advice, audit services or tax advice.
Since 2019 we have worked with closely held companies, family-owned businesses, boards and investors, across sectors including healthcare, hospitality, industrial production, energy, real estate, banking, insurance, commerce, retail, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
How we work
- Analytical rigour. Projections built up from operations rather than from a template, with assumptions stated rather than buried in a spreadsheet.
- Scenarios rather than certainties. A defensible range and sensitivity analysis on what genuinely moves the result says more than a single figure.
- A value orientation. The underlying question in every engagement is what creates or destroys economic value, and what decision follows from that.
- Local context. The frameworks are international; comparables, the cost of capital and sector structure are Dominican, and are treated as such.
- Partner attention. Few engagements at a time, handled by the people who sign the analysis.

Who we serve
- Closely held companies. Businesses without a public listing, where the information has to be constructed.
- Family-owned businesses. Where the economic decision and the relationship between shareholders intersect.
- Boards and shareholders. Who need an independent reference to decide, or to discuss among themselves.
- Investors. Local and international, assessing an opportunity in the Dominican market.
What independence actually means
Independence is a word used loosely, so it is worth stating what it means here in concrete terms:
- We do not audit. We issue no audit or financial-reporting opinions, so there is no tension between reviewing a set of accounts and advising on them.
- We do not broker securities. We do not place, distribute or intermediate financial instruments, and we are not an investment bank.
- We do not sell products. There is no in-house product waiting at the end of a recommendation.
- Our fee does not depend on a closing. In a sale or a financing, the recommendation can be not to proceed, or not yet.
- We issue no legal or tax opinions. Where a decision requires them, we coordinate with the appropriate specialists.
None of this is a criticism of other models: an audit practice or an intermediary performs a legitimate and necessary function. It is simply a description of where we sit and what can reasonably be expected as a result.
Standards and affiliation
The firm works to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. On engagements that call for it we collaborate with Moonshot Advisory, an advisory firm based in Santo Domingo.
